Break-ins at HDK-Valand in Gothenburg. Help Prevent Further Incidents

Published

Recently, HDK-Valand in Gothenburg (at both Storgatan and Kristinelundsgatan) has been the target of break-ins, resulting in the theft of valuable computers, cameras, and other equipment. These incidents have been reported to the police. We are currently mapping the thefts that have occurred and kindly ask everyone to help prevent further incidents.

Have you been affected?

If you have had personal belongings stolen, it is important to report the theft to the police and file a report via the incident report system IA (see links below). Then contact your insurance company.
If HDK-Valand’s property has been stolen, please report the theft in the IA system. HDK-Valand will handle the police report.

Prevent further incidents

It is crucial that we work together to prevent break-ins, particularly during upcoming holidays. Please remember to:

  • Never leave valuables (personal or HDK-Valand property) unattended
  • Close doors and windows when leaving a room
  • Don’t let unauthorized individuals into locked premises

Increased Security Patrols

In response to the recent break-ins, security patrols will be conducted more frequently during upcoming holidays when there are fewer activities, and less people present on site. Since the start of the autumn term, the University of Gothenburg has also increased the presence of security guards across all university facilities to enhance safety.
